Philippe Després has been granted funding within the framework of the bilateral collaborative research program in Artificial Intelligence in Health, the Quebec Research Fund - Health (FRQ-S) and the Bavarian Ministry of Research, Science and Arts. The project is titled “Decision Support Tool for Lung Cancer Screening with Low-Dose CT Scanning: Anchoring AI-Based Tools in Multi-Jurisdictional Digital Environments and Fostering Their Clinical Adoption”.
The professor in the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Science and Engineering of Université Laval and researcher at the CRC as well as in the Oncology axis of the Research Center of the CHU de Québec-Université Laval, will lead this project in collaboration with the Professor Michael Ingrisch of the Universitätsklinikum LMU in Germany. The three research teams selected for this funding program will share a total amount of 1.6 million Canadian dollars for the next three years.
