On August 21 and 22, the 28th edition of the Student Scientific Day (JSE) took place at the Ferdinand-Vandry Pavilion of Université Laval. Approximately 180 participants attended to see around a hundred presentations (~20 long presentations, ~15 short presentations, and ~60 poster presentations). The aim of the JSE is to allow the student community to share the progress of their research with all members of the Cancer Research Center of Université Laval (CRC), which helps to strengthen the interdisciplinary and collaborative aspects of cancer research in Quebec. Congratulations to our Next Generation Committee for once again rising to the challenge of organizing this significant event! All photos can be viewed by clicking here.
We would like to extend a special thank you to our guest speaker, Prof. Cynthia Reinhart-King (Rice University), for her inspiring lecture.
Nearly $3,200 in prizes for oral and poster presentations were awarded at the end of the JSE (click here for the full list), as well as several CRC scholarships totaling nearly $80,000.
The CRC warmly thanks all those who evaluated the presentations and our various competitions.
